March Haps!

As one of my best friends said it, March is the new December!

Clockwise: Ice cold Miguels, heavenly cupcakes from Sonja's, one of Gimi's killer cocktails, heaven on the table from Dimsum Diner

I was officially free from academic obligations since the first week of March and since then, the tempo has been increasing at a constant rate.

Moreover, last month, I got to march along with 3,000+ others and receive a rolled up piece of cheap bond paper held together by a blue ribbon.
I graduated with honors which explains the proud smirk I wish noting would ever wipe off of my face.

With some of the best people you'll ever meet. L: Me, Migel (Class 2011 Valedictorian) & Mizzy R: Thesis mates! Carizza, Me, Mizzy and Paulo (he's straight, btw. Just looks gay in the picture)

A proud moment for my parents. I haven't forgotten your promise.

And what follows a graduation is a graduation celebration. I have been celebrating for over a month now, what I'd like to call a post-grad hiatus with the same general agenda each day: F-U-N. Behold some random snippets from last month.

Back when I stuck to mission manorexia.

Treating weekdays like weekends with M-Diggity and Miguel.

I have been eating. A lot. My favorite Thai salad. OMNOMNOMNOM

Province trip with my best friend. We faired well in handling the Tsunami scare thanks to liquid courage. Lots of it.

Giminin!

Capped off the month with a chillax beach trip.

Looking forward to long summer days and even longer summer nights.

February Haps!

After this year's February, I have to hand it down to the month. It's AWESOME and it's become an instant favorite next to December and October (the month before my birthday month). Since the year opened, my best friends and I could not stop thinking about going away for the weekend to just unwind and go crazy and the latter we did!

We flew in to Manila to visit our other best friend, Riz who studies there and it was in perfect timing because our trip fell on Valentine's weekend. And the weekend was strong from start to finish. Let the photos speak for themselves.

Mizzy and I ditched our late afternoon class to catch our flight. We thought we could use the Thursday to just grab a few drinks, chill and catch up with Riz but we spoke too soon. We ended up getting pretty sloshed for the night and grinded the dance floor with some friends like it was the last Saturday night of the world. And it wasn't. We barely cracked into the peak of the weekend.

Minin wasn't with us the first couple of nights 'cause she was visiting her main squeeze over at Diliman so Mizzy and I thought of seeing her. We're that clingy.

I'm going to plug Cable Car shamelessly because not only was the place very packed but it was packed with a lot of hot guys who got hotter every time they shot a ping pong ball in a red cup. Oh, BSG, the few lines you uttered to Mizzy remain to echo in sweet refrains in her head.
Girls, we won't go back there without practice. We are going to school them boys the next time!

After loading at Cable Car, we passed by this university party, got a few shots and finally danced the night away at Fiamma. And did we get our dance on!
My awesome grind-mates!

Tried to ease the next day's hang-over by eating at Spam Jam. Anything that has to do with Spam is pure, unadulterated love.
Finally, the long-awaited Saturday night arrived. These are the bestest dates you can ever have. I would seriously go lesbian for either of these girls. But then it would feel like incestuous (if there is even a word) to us.
Pre-grinding in the car like nothing could bring down our high!
Long and sleepless nights, that is what my youth is for.

I seriously think that we are the friendship to beat.
So I got a little hung-up on the Valentine's weekend we had just spent and decided to create a pseudo-Valentine greeting card on Facebook and tagged almost everyone we cared greeting!
Tada--!

That short vacation was just what I needed. Sure, it didn't afford me any sleep (or did it? :p) but I wouldn't have had it any other way. Repeating the word awesome times infinity to describe it still would be an understatement. I can't wait for more repeats this summer!

Onto other haps in Feb:

Sunday brunch like two gay people. We were hung-over but happy.

Mizzy (with a Y) received this Valentine from V. Too adorbs, I die! Sorry, Miz, I couldn't resist!
And just in case you were wondering, I spent my Valentine's quietly at home, cozied up next to my pillows to make up for the lack of sleep. It was perfect. :)

Say hello to the usual suspects. Johnnie Speeding!

I feel the sun creeping up, like tick-tock, I'm trying to keep you in my head but if not, we'll just keep running from tomorrow with our lips locked. Yeah, you got me begging, begging..
Some serious LSS right there!

Basically, February put me in a short alcohol-induced high that I wished to never have gone down. But then finals came, so I had to step away from the poison and put my gameface on. It was a win, btw! :)

Wait for the next post on March! :)

January Haps!

I was trying to figure out how to give updates of my life for the past almost 4 months and my other self (I am bipolar) unilaterally decided to give run-downs per month. Sort of like an NBA play-by-play only this one's month-by-month. Swito.

Welcome to my January Haps!

In a nutshell, January was divided into two parts: weekdays and weekends. I ran around like a dog in school all days Mondays to Fridays. Whenever I wasn't at school, I was at home doing school-related things but I would manage to sneak in a side of happy nappys and that was basically the highlight of a dull weekday. Okay, I risk scarring you for life but just to give you an idea of how I look at 3am on a weekday, perhaps eating whatever article I have for class, here I am, your unreliable blogger:

Sans make-up, uncombed hair and pimple-clad trying to sport a loose white shirt in the middle of memorizing IS-related terms. You might be asking, why the hell was I snipping photos while studying in the kitchen? Ioknow, man. Ioknow.

Onto the other half, as soon as 15:40 on the clock struck on a Friday, my body would immediately transform into some machine I could not control. I would suddenly become a weekend zombie. And that only usually meant three things:

Drinks,

drinks,
and more drinks!

And a photo that best summarizes my January:

I think you get a pretty good picture of how February and the months that followed was for me. Read on to see how right you are!

The Most Wonderful Time of Ze Year!

I'm at a dilemma 'cause I'm one of those people who can't shut up about anything. For the past few million hours of my life, I've been reading blogs and they're never heavily worded. Blog followers seem to be disinterested with what these bloggers actually have to say and instead just focus on the pictures. It just gave me an idea to attempt a "silent" post. Presenting a picture-marathon to describe how the holidays were for me in Japan. Brace yourself.

A collage of an overview of everything I masticated in my mouth last Christmas break. And a couple of snippets that fed my obsession with make-up.

Some photos from Christmas Eve

I miss them niggazzz.

We headed off to Narnia on Christmas day for some serious R&R.

Serious down-time with my sisters.

Warming my fingers up in an attempt to not lose them.

Beautiful view on the train ride back to the city.

I hope you had spent last Christmas as meaningful as I did with my family!

Whuttup, World!

You would expect a long and apologetic introductory paragraph before I begin on the updates of my jaded life but there won't be any of that. True, my absence has been long (almost 4 months, beeteedubs) but for some twisted reason that only my brain can fathom, I'm actually not sorry about it. After getting back from my holiday break, school just smacked me right in the face. I was basically running 20-hour days, desperately trying to meet deadlines while cursing myself for getting in those tight situations. Thankfully all that pain was well-reciprocated but more on that later. Basically, January sped off fast thanks to endless 3-in-1 cups of cheap coffee and hefty bars of KitKat Chunky. The dreaded February(due to Finals week and of course, Valentine's Day) came but my best friends and I managed to sneak in a little weekend breather which I cannot wait to blog about as it was ironic since we barely got any rest at all. And March was the end of every little effort my batchmates and I put out for the last 4 years in college. I guess recalling all those memories won't be so bad since this April's pretty much blech (yes, that's an onomatopoeia) and I could really use some thoughts to be smiling about.

A photo of me taken mid-March hence the so-so attempt to make it look vintage. More photos coming in the next post. Swear to G.

So consider this my official notice of being back. I promise to follow through.
Yeah. Totally.
